Hummer Test, Five years of Success
When
the H2 Hummer first came out there we were ready to supply a Hydrogen
Boost system to improve mileage.
Dave Pierce in Michigan purchased a Hydrogen Boost system and installed
it on his brand new H2 Hummer. Now
five and a half years later he is here to tell his story.

According
to EPA mileage figures, even the much smaller H3 Hummer with its 3.7
liter 5 cylinder engine and manual transmission
only gets 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.
Dave’s mileage on his much larger and more powerful H2 Hummer
equipped with Hydrogen Boost was competitive with the standard mileage of
the H3. Thank you Dave for
trusting us enough to install our system on a brand new expensive vehicle
and prove to the world that not only does Hydrogen Boost improve your
mileage, it is perfectly safe to use on a new vehicle.
Follow up email from
Dave on July 19, 2008:
I just read the
following in Popular Mechanics August 2008 issue:
"Test 2008 Jeep
Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4 four door, 9242 miles driven. Fuel
economy: Average, 15.1 mpg, Worst 12.7 mpg, Best 16.2 mpg"... This
is a 202 hp 3.8 liter V-6 engine with 4.10 gearing like our "03 H2,
but we are running a 6 liter 425 hp engine and getting equal or better
fuel economy! This Jeep weighs in
at 4, 442 lbs compared to the 6,500 lbs of our Hummer.
So, our Hummer H2
outperforms the smaller, lighter Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
Handily... Thanks to the Hydrogen Boost system.
Who says all Hummers
are gas guzzlers? In the 4x4 world
ours rules!
Thanks again for all
of your help Fran!
