Another 30% Average Gain
22.7% to 47.3%
In June John Vine drove all the
way from Colorado to have Hydrogen Boost installed on his car, having
purchased the system back in March.
Below is the email report from John.
Fran,
I quit
adjusting the electronic control circuit as much as I was (every time I
got in the car) leaned it as much as I dared and left it alone.
Worked much better as I must have had the computer confused most of the
time. I have found two settings, one for city traffic and a little
leaner for interstate travel and will get the best mileage at around 65
MPH. I have marked the adjustment of the circuit so I can turn it back
and fourth as needed.
I
told you about our "Rapid Screen" here where the State places
special truck and sensors on each side of an entrance to a highway,
usually at a point where you would accelerate up a hill, measure your
exhaust as you drive by. The tolerance is much stricter this
way. You need to go through at least twice on separate days and
within 10 months of license plate expiration. I did this several
times while hydrogen system working and accelerated more that I needed
and received a notice in the mail when my plates were due that an
inspection was not necessary as I passed the "Rapid Screen"
test.
I
run with amps dead on 15 after a short warm up so all is working
great. Depending on traffic and go/stop areas in city has gone from
15 MPG to 20 to 22 MPG and highway 22 MPG to 27/28 MPG.
I
will probably do my truck this summer. A 1977 Ford V8 6.6L engine
and carburated. Assuming would need the
model 30 for this?
I
go to your web site often and looks like you are really doing a lot with
diesel engines.
I
keep giving out your name but there a lot of skeptics so this all will
take time.
Take
care and have a great new year.

Fran’s Comments: Note
that John’s mileage increase was a 33.3% to 46.7% in the city and 22.7% to 27.3%
on the highway. I assume he implemented
some driving tips but cruised on the highway at 65 MPH. His highway mileage would have been
considerably higher if he cruised at 55 MPH. These results are consistent with our
testing.
